Final ICSA Team Race Rankings before the Nationals

byTom Sitzmann

With team race nationals qualifiers now complete, the coaches put together their final national team race rankings before the big event

Not surprisingly, a number of non-qualifying teams have remained in the Top 15, most notably Tufts University who has had a great season and just barely missed qualifying at the New England Team Race Championship this weekend held on the Charles River in Boston.

Dartmouth and Connecticut College are also ranked teams that fell short of qualifying in the extremely competitive NEISA qualifier, teams that surely could have done some damage at the national championship.

Interestingly enough, the top four teams in the rankings hail from four different conferences! The Stanford University Cardinal of the PCCSC, who have dominated much of the spring season and will be the team to beat at nationals, and remain atop the rankings. Next is Georgetown from MAISA, followed by NEISA’s Brown who were late breakers this season but have stepped up to show their talent and won the most competitive qualifier this past weekend. And finally defending National Champions SAISA’s College of Charleston rounds out the top four.
