We have years of direct sail making experience, and feel that the North Sails Blue Ribbon product is the best out there.

420 /FJ Institutional Mainsail

High School/College/Club Sailing

The Blue Ribbon sails do not comply with the International 420  or Flying Junior Class Rules. Designed by performance sailors for performance-minded sailors, our mainsails have about 150mm more roach and are a bit fuller than standard institutional sails, allowing sailors to learn, play with, and perfect sail trim, rather than just sheeting in as hard as possible.

A white sail with red markings, including the number "12" and partial letters "SI." Red patches are visible on the tip and bottom corner. A small blue and white logo is at the lower left corner.

Designed to withstand the demanding conditions of High School and Collegiate sailing, our Institutional CFJ Blue Ribbon mainsail offers exceptional durability and performance. Crafted from high-quality Dacron, the mainsail features a top full batten and 3 leech battens. Standard 18″ numbers are included, with larger or inked numbers available at an additional cost.
